Beam-splitting camera Bi-pack camera Bird's-eye shot

n.phr.

Subject Field: Cinematography

A bi-pack camera is both a process camera and a stepcontact printer. When film is loaded in bi-pack, what that means is that two loads of film are sandwiched together. Each load has its own feed and take-up reels, but both loads are threaded over the same sprocket wheels and both are simultaneously exposed when the shutter opens.
