Context: Time lapse makes use of a clock device known as a Intervelometer which controls the shutter. It is basically the same principle as stop motion animation, when small increments of movement from a model are filmed one frame at a time, and then projected at a normal speed producing a smooth progression of motion. Incidentally, an accidental time lapse effect can occur in stop motion filming.

Context: If the camera is in its original position across the road and opposite the building, then the person entering the building can only enter frame from behind camera, and walk towards the building and away from the camera. Or he can enter the side of frame and walk along the front of the building until he comes to the door. In either case the shot will be weak.
