Context: My favorite shots always make me feel it would be nice if we could see them for a few more seconds. After shooting the backgrounds, planning out the painting, doing the painting, compositing the painting and having it critiqued, and taking it back and making changes - it takes months, sometimes, for three or four seconds of screen time. "But George has the whole movie in mind and he doesn't fall in love with a shot. He knows that that's a real pitfall, because sometimes you see a movie where somebody says, 'Aw, it's such a beautiful shot, let's extend it another 15 seconds.'
